Catalonia Royal Bavaro (Adults Only) Hotel Punta Cana, Punta Cana

I had a mixed experience at Catalonia Royal. The rooms had a damp smell all week, and the cleanliness of the sheets was disappointing. Despite not meeting five-star standards, the hotel's beauty was a nice retreat from the pool and beach. The rooms were spacious, including a balcony, but there was a noticeable dampness in the air. Although I initially planned to extend my stay, the overall disappointment led me to cut my trip short.

I had an amazing stay at Catalonia Royal! Our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the fountains, providing a peaceful retreat away from the pool bar area. The evening activities at the nearby Family Resort added to the fun atmosphere. The room could use some modernization, but I absolutely adored the large bath in the bedroom.

The hotel has a unique room layout with some areas feeling outdated, yet still nice and in need of some love. The service was excellent overall, but some instances of unhelpfulness were noted. The location is superb with a great beach proximity. Dining options were decent with attentive staff. The facilities were enjoyable and well-maintained.
